Welcome to the Razorpay Single Sign-On (SSO) service. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Razorpay Software Limited ("Razorpay," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the Razorpay SSO service when you choose to log in or create an account with a Merchant using your existing Razorpay account.
By clicking "Log in with Razorpay," "Continue with Razorpay SSO," "Sign up with Razorpay SSO," or any similar button, and proceeding with the SSO process, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Razorpay SSO service.
For the purpose of these Terms:
Merchant: Refers to any business, online store, or service provider that processes payments through Razorpay and has integrated Razorpay's Single Sign-On (SSO) service to allow customers to log in or create an account using their existing Razorpay account credentials
Razorpay's SSO service offers a convenient and secure way for you to access and manage your accounts across various participating Merchants.
Your Razorpay account is established or linked when you first make a payment or complete a transaction through Razorpay's payment processing services on any participating Merchant's website or application, provided you furnish your phone number and/or email address during that process. This contact information, when provided, becomes associated with your unique Razorpay account. This account primarily facilitates a streamlined and secure checkout experience for you across various Merchants that use Razorpay's services, such as the ability to securely access previously saved payment credentials (e.g., saved cards, UPI IDs) and shipping/billing addresses (if any) to expedite your transactions and checkout experience. Please note that the checkout experience is limited to providing access to your previously saved payment credentials and shipping addresses and nothing further.
Razorpay SSO allows you to leverage this existing Razorpay account to conveniently log in or register with other participating Merchants. This means you can often avoid creating new, separate usernames and passwords for each Merchant, simplifying your online interactions and enhancing your user experience across the Razorpay network.
When you choose to log in or create an account with a Merchant using Razorpay SSO, you explicitly authorize Razorpay to share certain information from your Razorpay account with that specific Merchant. This information typically includes, but may not be limited to:
• Your registered phone number.
• Your email address (if associated with your Razorpay account).
• Other essential identification data required by the Merchant for account creation or linking (e.g., your name if provided to Razorpay).
• Previously saved shipping or billing addresses (if any)
The Merchant will use this information to establish or link your account on their platform/website and to facilitate their services to you. Razorpay disclaims any responsibility for the Merchant's subsequent collection, use, or disclosure of this information, which will be governed by the Merchant's own privacy policy and terms of service.
Upon successful login or account creation via Razorpay SSO, Razorpay may utilize pixel tracking, cookies, or other similar technologies on the Merchant's website to collect information about your interactions and behavior on that specific Merchant's site. This may include, for example, pages viewed, products browsed, items added to cart, and other similar Browse or transactional activities.
You acknowledge and agree that Razorpay may share your registered phone number and/or email address, along with your browse and behavioral data (collected via pixel tracking), with the respective Merchant. This information is shared with the Merchant provide support servicesor for their other internal business purposes, which may include, but are not limited to:
• Personalizing your experience on their website.
• Analyzing customer behavior patterns and preferences.
• Improving their products, services, and operational efficiencies.
• Facilitating customer support and fraud prevention.
Razorpay commits to handling this data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, accessible on the Razorpay website.
During the SSO login or account creation process, you will be presented with an option to consent to receive marketing communications from the Merchant. This option will be presented as a standalone checkbox or similar explicit consent mechanism.
Your selection of this option is entirely voluntary.
Should you affirmatively opt-in by checking this box, you grant Razorpay the explicit right to share your registered phone number and/or email address with the Merchant for the sole purpose of enabling the Merchant to send you marketing communications and for their retargeting campaigns. This may include, without limitation, promotional emails, SMS messages, and targeted advertisements displayed by the Merchant based on your interests and past interactions.
If you choose not to opt-in, Razorpay will not share your contact details for marketing purposes. Please note that even without opting into marketing communications through the Razorpay SSO, the Merchant may still send you transactional, service-related, or legally required communications as part of your direct customer relationship with them. You retain the right to manage your marketing preferences directly with the Merchant after successfully logging in to their platform.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Razorpay account credentials. You agree to promptly notify Razorpay of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. Razorpay shall not be liable for any losses arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
You represent and warrant that all information you provide to Razorpay is accurate, complete, and current.
Your privacy is paramount to us. Razorpay's collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information are governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms and available on our official website. By using Razorpay SSO, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
Please be aware that once you access a Merchant's website or services via Razorpay SSO, your interactions and any data you provide directly to the Merchant will be subject to the Merchant's own privacy policy and terms of service. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policies and terms of service of each Merchant you engage with to understand their data practices. Razorpay is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or actions of third-party Merchants.
Razorpay provides the SSO service "as is" and "as available," without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Razorpay disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Razorpay does not warrant that the SSO service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
In no event shall Razorpay, its affiliates, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the SSO service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the SSO service; (iii) any content obtained from the SSO service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether
based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Razorpay, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Razorpay SSO service, including, but not limited to, your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Razorpay reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time, at its sole discretion. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website or through other reasonable means. Your continued use of the SSO service after the effective date of such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the SSO service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with Razorpay's Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Razorpay regarding the use of the Razorpay SSO service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral, regarding such subject matter.
