• Purpose of Filing: In this specific section of the RUN-LLP form, you are provided with the option to specify the purpose for which they are reserving a name for an LLP. The available choices are:
  • New incorporation
  • Conversion of firm into LLP
  • Conversion of private company/unlisted public company into LLP
  • Change of name of an existing LLP
  In case of resubmission, the value shall be Pre-filled.
• CIN/ LLPIN: In case name is being reserved for ‘Conversion of private company/unlisted public company into LLP, Corporate Identification Number (CIN) needs to be filled. While if you are reserving for a change of name for an existing LLP, Limited Liability Partnership Identification Number (LLPIN) needs to be entered.
• NIC Code (Sub Class) of industrial activity of the company: This relates to the main industry or sector in which an LLP operates, such as manufacturing, trading, or services. A 5-digit NIC Code is utilized to classify and identify businesses based on their specific business activities. A detailed list of industry codes can be accessed here.
• Description of the Sub Class: Provides a detailed description of the main division of industrial activity selected. For example, if the main division is manufacturing, specify the type of products the LLP will manufacture.
• Proposed Names: Up to 2 names can be proposed in this section. Maximum character limit for this section i.e. an LLP name is 75 characters.

Documents Required for an LLP Name Reservation

While adding documents to the attachment section is generally optional, it becomes mandatory in specific cases where approvals from regulatory authorities or No Objection Certificates (NOCs) are needed.

How to Submit RUN-LLP?

A brief walk-through of the steps required to submit the RUN- LLP form-

• Go to the MCA homepage.
• Log in to the MCA portal using valid credentials.
• Choose "MCA services," then select "LLP Services."
• Click on "RUN LLP" to access the name reservation application.
• Complete the application form.
• Optionally, use the search option to find CIN/LLPIN for validation.
• Submit the completed webform.
• Upon submission, a Service Request Number (SRN) is generated for future correspondence with MCA.
• Pay the required fees. If payment is not completed within 7 days of SRN generation, the SRN will be canceled.
• An acknowledgment email is generated to confirm the submission.

In case of any discrepancies, A resubmission of the form shall be allowed to be made within 15 days.

Validity of the RUN-LLP

The authority has the provision to reserve an approved name for 3 Months from the date of MCA approval based on the information and documents provided.

Fees for RUN-LLP in India

The fee for name reservation through RUN-LLP is Rs. 200.
