Accept payments using the PayNow payment method.


Using PayNow, accept instant payments from your customers through their preferred app from participating banks and non-bank financial institutions. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) oversees the operation of PayNow, which is supported by major Singaporean banks and financial institutions.

It has become one of the most popular payment methods in Singapore, facilitating millions of transactions annually and offering a seamless and convenient payment experience for both businesses and consumers.

Follow the steps to enable PayNow:

  1. Log in to the .
  2. Click Account & Settings in the left menu.
  3. Go to Payment methods and click the enable button next to PayNow.
  4. You can also request for from your Razorpay Dashboard.

Given below is the payment flow for PayNow:

  1. The user selects the PayNow option at checkout.

  2. The user opens their bank app to scan the QR code:

    • Web Checkout: The user opens their bank app on their phone to scan the QR code displayed on the merchant's website.
    • Phone Checkout: The user takes a screenshot of the QR code, then opens their banking app and uses the screenshot to make the payment. The user can also save the QR code on their phone and make payments within the given time duration.

    Watch Out!

    The QR code is active for only 10 minutes. Ensure the payment is completed within this timeframe to avoid issues.

  3. The user clicks the Next button and confirms the payment details.

    Handy Tips

    The amount is pre-filled on the PayNow partner app.

  4. The payment succeeds, and the user is redirected to the merchant's website upon completing the payment.

  5. Once a successful payment is made, the QR code will no longer be usable.

  1. PayNow QR codes are single-use only. Attempts to pay with the same code again will be rejected by the customer's bank.
  2. Transactions will only succeed if the customer has sufficient funds in their linked account to cover the payment.
  3. PayNow transactions may fail if users exceed their daily transaction limit of 2000 SGD.
  4. Transactions below the minimum transaction limit of 1 SGD will also fail.
  5. If the bank's systems or the PayNow network are disrupted, transactions will not be processed until the outage is resolved.
