Add Funds to Balances

In order to prevent failure of transactions due to insufficient funds in the balances, you can add funds to them the following ways:

Add Funds to your Current Balance🔗

You can add funds to your Current Balance to process refunds or transfers.

  1. Log into Dashboard and navigate to My account.

  2. Click the Balances tab on the right to view the available Current Balance.

  3. Click Add Funds and make a payment to your account through any of the payment methods:

Add Funds to your Reserve Balance🔗

If you want to maintain a reserve on your Current Balance, you have to activate the Reserve Balance from the Dashboard. Once activated, the transferred amount is set as the negative limit for your Current Balance.

Activate Reserve Balance🔗

  1. Log into Dashboard and navigate to My account.

  2. Click the Balances tab on the right, go to the Reserve Balance pane and click the Activate button:

  3. In the pop-up that opens, review the prefilled content and click Submit.

  4. You will receive an email notification with details of the account to which you have to transfer funds. You should make NEFT transfer to this account.

Transfer Funds to Reserve Balance🔗

Once the Reserve Balance is activated, you can add funds to the same anytime. This updated reserve balance now becomes the new negative limit for the current balance.

For example, if you add ₹1000 in your reserve balance, the negative limit of your current balance is automatically set at -1000. This means, you can continue to process transactions till your Current Balance reaches this negative limit.

  1. Log into the Dashboard and navigate to My account.

  2. Click the Balances tab on the right and view the available amount in the Reserve Balance pane.

  3. Click the Add Funds button to start adding funds to this balance.

  4. Click Submit.

  5. You will receive an email notification with details of the account to which you have to transfer funds. You should make NEFT transfer to this account.

The newly transferred funds will reflect in your reserve balance within 4-6 hours.

Now, the total negative balance limit should be equal to the reserve balance loaded plus the negative limit set for the account. To know more about the negative limit that has been configured for your account, reach out to Razorpay.
