Current Account KYC Documents - Based on Residential Status

List of KYC documents required to open a Current Account powered by RazorpayX in partnership with RBL/Yes Bank based for Indians in India and abroad, foreign nationals residing in India.


You have to submit HARD COPIES of the below KYC documents along with the account opening form and business documents to open a current account with RazorpayX.

The following documents are required for non-Indians residing in India.

  • Non-resident Indian (NRI) Customer Information Form (CIF). .
  • Investment Services Account (ISA).
  • Valid Passport.
  • Indian Visa.
  • PAN or Form 60 and Form 49A.
  • Foreign Registration Regional Office (FRRO) certificate or a certificate from Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) which includes the purpose of stay, duration and type of visa.

The following documents are required for Indian residents.

  • ID Proof, this can be any valid Indian ID.

  • Signature Proof, this can be any government issued document other than an ID card.

    Watch Out!

    • Signature declaration: Required if the signature on the signature proof document does not match the signature on the ID proof. .
    • Dual name declaration: Required if the name on the signature proof does not match the name on the ID proof. A slight mismatch is allowed for South Indian names. .
    • Vernacular declaration: If signing in any language other than English, that is any regional language, declarations are required from two bank officials. .
  • Address Proof, this can be any one officially valid document such as: Passport, driving licence, voters’ ID card, PAN card, Aadhaar card and Job Card issued by NREGA and signed by a State Government official.

The following documents are required for non-resident Indians.

  • Non-resident Indian (NRI) Customer Information Form (CIF). .
  • Investment Services Account (ISA).
  • Valid Passport (mandatory).
  • Visa for the country of residence.
    • For foreign nationals, Visa is NOT required.
  • PAN (not mandatory).
  • Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) Card (mandatory as officially valid documents for KYC).
