Razorpay has partnered with Mobikwik to let over 30 million Mobikwik wallet customers pay online and in apps processing payments through Razorpay using their Mobikwik wallet balance.
Also, we have integrated Mobikwik Power Wallet APIs which are traditionally integrated only by premium partners of Mobikwik but we are opening it up for integration for all of our clients.
We ran a small beta phase of couple weeks to make the payment experience as smooth as possible. The beauty of our checkout form is such that this is going to be available to all our clients with immediate effect without making any additional code change.
The typical payment flow is going to be such that when a user clicks on mobikwik wallet, we call mobikwik APIs to send an OTP to the customer. On the same checkout form, we will ask the customer to enter the OTP.
On android apps with SMS reading permission, we go one step ahead to auto-read and auto-fill the OTP on our checkout form thereby further reducing payment friction. You can see a sample demo here – razorpay.com/demo or checkout our sample Android app on the Play Store.
