As Indian consumers get increasingly comfortable shopping online, Indian businesses have become more reliant than ever on payment gateways to help capture the online demand.

However, a recent study found that a staggering 20% of businesses currently grapple with challenges related to integrations with their payment gateways. The repercussions of these issues are not insignificant, with the industry estimated to have lost a whopping INR 10,000 crores last year alone due to integration woes.

The Integration Audit tool from Optimizer

This FTX, we are excited to announce the launch of Optimizer’s ‘Integration Audit tool’. A tool designed specifically to help businesses identify and solve their payment integration related issues.

At its core, the integration audit tool offers merchants a secure and controlled environment to conduct rigorous testing of their integrations before deploying them live. Gone are the days of crossing fingers and hoping for the best as businesses launch their payment systems into the digital sphere. With Optimizer’s tool, merchants can rest assured that their integrations undergo meticulous scrutiny, safeguarding against common pitfalls that could otherwise derail transactions and damage customer trust.

One of the key features of this innovative tool is its ability to automatically identify and flag common integration issues. Whether it’s misconfigured webhooks, faulty refund processes, or gaps in method coverage, the integration audit tool leaves no stone unturned in its quest to ensure seamless functionality. By preemptively detecting and resolving these issues, businesses can nip potential problems in the bud, thereby safeguarding against lost revenue and more importantly – lost customer trust.

Product Deep dive

The tool allows businesses to perform a comprehensive audit of their integration by facilitating three stages of testing:

1. Payments testing

2. Refunds testing

3. Method coverage check

As mentioned earlier, the tool will automatically detect common integration issues across all three stages.

Payments testing

Merchants can perform test transactions directly on the Optimizer dashboard for the payment method of their choice.

In case the payment does not go through as expected, the tool will automatically detect common causes of failure and suggest steps that can be taken to resolve the issue.

Refunds testing

Through the tool, merchants will be able to initiate refunds for the payments that they tested and ensure that the refunds are getting created as required.

If the refund isn’t getting created as expected, the tool will automatically detect the reason for refund creation failure and suggest how to fix the issue.

Method coverage check

The tool will automatically detect and display details on payment method coverage on both the external PG and on the merchant’s Razorpay account.

Eg: For Card payments, the merchant will be able to see network level coverage across Visa, Mastercard, RuPay on both Razorpay and the external PG that the merchant is integrating with.

Conclusion

In essence, Businesses will no longer need to do direct integrations with multiple payment gateways and go through the hassle of testing each of these integrations manually. Thanks to Razorpay Optimizer businesses will now be able to access all their payment gateway accounts on one platform. What’s more, Optimizer will enable merchants to thoroughly test their payments setup in a safe environment before taking it live.
