INDIA, BANGALORE – 28 June 2022: India’s Preferred Payments and Banking Platform for Businesses, Razorpay, today welcomed Murali Brahmadesam as Head of Engineering & Chief Technology Officer at Razorpay. A veteran with more than two decades of experience, Murali brings together in-depth knowledge of managing diverse technology functions at scale. He has spent a major share of his career at Amazon & Microsoft, working in India & the USA where he has held several technology and leadership roles. Previously the role was held by Razorpay’s Co-founder, Shashank Kumar himself who will now take on the designation of “Co-Founder & Managing Director” at the company.

The CTO’s role at Razorpay is a critical one that steers the company’s technology, engineering, and innovation strategies, aligning them with business goals. As Murali takes over, he will drive the overall engineering strategy and development at Razorpay, while driving the stellar growth of Razorpay Engineering.
