Did you know that 40% of users drop off at the first step of checkout? A significant portion of these drop-offs (10-15%) happens due to trust concerns. When shopping online, especially from a lesser-known brand, customers hesitate before making a purchase. Without clear indicators of a business’s credibility, shoppers may abandon their carts and look elsewhere.

For growing e-commerce businesses, this creates a trust gap, a crucial barrier to conversions that need to be addressed effectively.

Introducing Order Milestone Badge

To bridge this trust gap, a new feature, Order Milestone Badge, is being introduced at checkout for eligible businesses. These badges instill trust in shoppers, showing them firsthand that your business has been actively fulfilling orders and delighting customers.

What is an Order Milestone?

An order milestone is when a business reaches a new record of successfully completed orders within the previous month. For example:

🔷 1000 orders completed
🔷 10000 orders completed
🔷 50000 orders completed

The order milestone displayed on the badge updates weekly, reinforcing trust and showing shoppers a credible record of completed orders.

By integrating these milestones within the checkout flow, businesses can leverage past success to drive future conversions.

Why This Matters

The e-commerce landscape is more competitive than ever. With direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands rapidly emerging, trust-building mechanisms can be a key differentiator. Businesses that effectively display credibility indicators at checkout often see a significant improvement in conversion rates.

Who Is Eligible?

To ensure credibility and accuracy, the Order Milestone Badge will be available to businesses that meet the following criteria:

✅ Businesses must have processed at least 100 orders in the last 30 days
✅ Currently available to e-commerce and direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands
✅ The RTB (Razorpay Trust Badge) widget must be enabled on the checkout page

Important Note: The order milestone displayed on the badge is based only on transactions completed through Razorpay Checkout, including COD. If a business uses multiple checkout systems, only orders processed via Razorpay Checkout will be counted.

For example, if a brand has 200 total orders, with 100 through Razorpay Checkout and 100 through another checkout platform, the badge will only display 100 orders.

To ensure that the badge reflects the full transaction volume, businesses are encouraged to process all orders through Razorpay Checkout for accurate order count representation.

Opt-out Option: Businesses that do not wish to display the badge can opt out via the opt-out form link.

Wrapping Up

Order Milestone Badges offer a simple yet powerful way to bridge the trust gap in online shopping. By highlighting real customer activity, businesses can turn trust concerns into confidence, leading to higher conversions and stronger customer relationships.
