Settlement is the process through which a merchant receives money paid by their end users for a particular product/service.

Payment is initiated
The customer enters their payment details on the Razorpay checkout to pay.



Payment is verified
After OTP or 3D Secure verification, the amount is deducted, and the customer gets a confirmation.



Payment is processed
The money is sent through card networks to Razorpay’s banking partners.



Money is settled
Razorpay receives the money and transfers it to your bank account after deducting fees.
The complete process takes a time of T+2* business days for domestic transactions, T being the date of capture of payment.
*Settlement cycle is subject to bank approval and can vary based on your business vertical, risk factor etc.
