Our everyday lives at work and home were challenging to transition to in the start and we have all now found ways to adapt to this new normal and working better. Businesses have been looking for opportunities to thrive amidst this problem; they are doing their best to ensure employees are safe, engaged, happy and productive while maintaining a work-life balance in this new digital workplace. You might have come across a recent survey conducted by the recruitment company, Monster, that <\/span><b>as the pandemic stretches on, workers are becoming more burnt out.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/razorpay.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Razorpay<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, like other committed organisations, has been taking several initiatives to ensure employees are happy and productive. Apart from the frequent virtual watercooler sessions, partnership with The Green Oak for mental wellbeing and initiatives of providing comfortable furniture to employees, <\/span><b>the company has now decided to make the 2<\/b><b>nd<\/b><b> Wednesday of every month a meeting free day.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Anuradha Bharat, Head &#8211; People Operations, Razorpay <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said,<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cNone of us saw this long term remote working coming but, we are all finding ways to make the best out of where we are. Keeping employees engaged and mentally healthy has always been our highest priority and with the current scenario continuing indefinitely, burn-out is the largest concern that a lot of employees are facing as the lines between personal and professional time are blurring. At Razorpay, as part of some of our remote working initiatives, we have announced that <\/span><\/i><b><i>the second Wednesday of every month will now be a \u2018No Meeting Day\u2019. This step is specifically meant to address the too many internal meetings that our employees end up being a part of because of the limited facetime with each other. The employees are working on large projects that require uninterrupted focus; these meeting free days allow for the continuous time that they require.<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She added, \u201cWe are also constantly encouraging our employees to avail their annual leaves (excluding the Covid-19 related leave) that they are eligible for without any hesitation, irrespective of the remote working scenario; taking some time off from work can help overcome the burnout and let you recharge.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Razorpay is mandating their employees to schedule all meetings between 10am and 7pm during the weekdays and not before or later, to ensure they limit their regular working hours.
