At the AI Impact Summit 2026, Razorpay announced a strategic partnership with Replit, one of the world’s leading AI-powered software creation platforms, to unlock faster access and monetisation for India’s rapidly growing builder ecosystem.
AI has dramatically accelerated how software gets created. Today, ideas can become working applications in minutes. But as this new wave of AI-driven innovation takes shape, two critical challenges remain.
The first is access. Ensuring that the power of AI reaches the next billion users and builders. For innovation to scale, it must be easy to discover, adopt, and use, especially in high-growth markets like India, where digital behaviour is mobile-first and payments are real-time.
The second is monetisation. Enabling builders to turn what they create into viable businesses just as quickly as they can build. While AI has removed the barriers to creation, the journey from prototype to paid product has often remained fragmented, slowed by payment integration, compliance, and localisation hurdles.
Through this partnership, Razorpay and Replit are closing both gaps, expanding access to AI-powered tools for Indian users while enabling builders to seamlessly monetise from day one.
What This Partnership Makes Possible
The partnership connects Replit’s AI-driven software creation with Razorpay’s India-ready payments infrastructure, so Indian builders can build with ease and seamlessly turn their ideas into revenue, while global platforms can localise for India without added complexity.
- Localised Payments for Indian Users. Now with UPI
Indian users can now upgrade and subscribe on Replit using familiar payment methods like UPI and cards, in INR. With over 85% of the country’s digital transactions being powered by UPI, enabling UPI is critical for reaching and converting India’s rapidly growing base of developers, students, and entrepreneurs
2. Cross-Border Payments made seamless
This partnership makes cross-border transactions feel localised for Indian users and builders. Customers can pay in INR using familiar methods, while Replit continues to receive settlements in USD, with Razorpay handling compliance, foreign exchange, and settlements seamlessly in the background.
3. Built-In Monetisation for Builders
Developers can embed payments directly into the applications they create on Replit, enabling them to start accepting payments without building their own payment infrastructure. Monetisation becomes a native part of the creation flow. Not a separate integration step.
4. A Faster Path from Idea → App → Revenue
By combining Replit’s AI-driven development environment with Razorpay’s payments layer, builders can move from prototype to live business in minutes, reducing the traditional friction between product launch and monetisation.
Just Getting Started
The partnership is currently live in beta, marking the first phase of bringing AI-driven creation and India-ready payments closer together.
Early users can already begin experiencing a more localised way to access Replit and monetise what they build, while the integration continues to evolve based on real-world usage and builder needs.
As AI lowers the barriers to creating software, enabling that software to reach users, generate revenue, and scale sustainably becomes the next frontier. This beta represents an important step in that direction, where ideas built for the world can now find immediate relevance in India.
